【Stands Against Waves】
Peddlers drifting on the streets see freedom as lighthouse
And stand still against the endless waves.
“Burn Down Cake” is a snack design based on traditional Taiwanese street food, egg cake, which is a memory across generations in Taiwan.
Burn Down Cake Project redesigned traditional food cart and package, trying to tell stories about Taiwanese historic buildings, which were been destroyed or burnt down illegally.
We believe the power of design and social media could promote the value and beauty of historic cultural heritage to the people.
We try to figure out the Taiwanese phenomena of “Street Food”, “Maintaining of Historic Sites” and “Social Movement” by Burn Down Cake Project, a new kind of street food and reform movement.
